Joan C Puzhakkal

Dr Joan completed her MD in Psychiatry and was practicing at Nimhans with experience of more than 10 years in total. She has been keen in promoting delicate clinical practice and empathetic towards her patients along with their caregivers. She is passionate in her career that she has a plethora of experience in conducting research methods with FNIRS and fMRI. Her main areas of interest includes caregiver burden,child-adolescent mental health, women’s mental health and Neuro-psychiatry. She has presented copious posters and papers in various National and International conferences.Also, published manuscripts in national and international journals. She also has been awarded Early Career Investigator Award in the conference ,World Congress for Psychiatric Genetics in the year 2020. Above all,her hobbies includes watching movies,reading books and social activities.
