Omid Zamir

I am a Psychiatrist with a background in psychiatry spanning over 14 years, including both clinical practice and academic involvement. I hold a DHA license as a psychiatrist and have residency status in the UAE. My daily responsibilities have involved inpatient and outpatient care, providing consultations, medication management, and psychotherapy. I graduated in 2004 with a medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and completed my specialization in psychiatry in 2010 from Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran. Subsequently, I joined Qazvin University of Medical Sciences as a faculty member in psychiatry, and for six years, I served as the head of the psychiatry department. Concurrently, I have maintained a private practice, focusing on psychoanalysis and couple therapy alongside pharmacotherapy. My academic contributions include numerous published articles, extensive lecturing, and organizing several scientific seminars. My core competencies include establishing strong patient and colleague relationships, conducting specialized psychiatric interviews, diagnosing, and formulating and implementing treatment plans that incorporate both pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. Additionally, I am dedicated to improving community mental health and reducing the stigma associated with psychiatric conditions.
