Hello, I'm Anita Lopes, and I'm passionate about mental health care. With a background as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse, I have worked across various hospitals and environments. My journey has taken me from India to the United States, where I've gained valuable experience in psychiatry and patient care. I currently work at Luminous Psychiatric in Schenectady, NY, focusing on adult psychiatric care. Here, I assess and manage mental health needs, ensuring patients receive compassionate and effective support. My experience also includes working in other outpatient clinics, where I assisted in mental health assessments and personalized medication management. Throughout my career, I've handled a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and more. I believe in a patient-centered approach, where every decision is made with the individual's well-being in mind. I hold several certifications and licenses, ensuring I bring the best care to my patients. My education includes a master's certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Russell Sage College and a Master's in Pediatric Nursing from Mumbai, India.
